GRAMMY Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux joins Tidewater Classical Guitar for a signature collaboration with the Virginia Arts Festival. Celebrated for his virtuosity, expressive range, and remarkable precision, Vieaux has performed from New York’s Lincoln Center to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and the Seoul Arts Center, earning a place among the leading classical guitarists of his generation. His acclaimed album Play received the 2015 GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, while his adventurous repertoire moves effortlessly from Bach and the great Spanish and Latin American traditions to jazz-inflected works and new music. Composer and guitarist Pat Metheny dedicated the solo work Four Paths of Light to Vieaux, a reflection of the artistry and versatility that make every one of his performances a memorable event.
