Brad Perry
Brad and his wife, Joanie, write and arrange original Christian music and hymns as the duo Alabaster Grace. Through their nonprofit, Alabaster Grace Ministries, they present music and speak in churches and other venues throughout the Northern Neck and Hampton Roads areas. They have released six CDs and ten singles to date, and their single, “Word of God,” charted nationally in the top five Christian single releases. Brad and Joanie are licensed ministers, and Brad was ordained as a pastor in December 2021. He serves as the pastor at Historic White Marsh Church in Lancaster, Virginia.
Previously, Brad worked for NASA for 32 years, serving as an astronaut instructor for the Space Shuttle, helping to design the International Space Station, performing crew systems research, and evaluating proposal concepts for NASA’s robotic missions to visit the planets and study the universe. He also served as a U.S. Air Force and Texas Air National Guard pilot, and flew as an airline pilot for four years after retiring from NASA.
In addition to TCG, Brad serves as a director for the Steamboat Era Museum in Irvington, Virginia, and as chaplain for the Rappahannock River Yacht Club. He also teaches the introductory astronomy course for William and Mary’s Osher Institute for lifelong learning.
